You are a Tarnished a being half alive and dead exiled from the Lands Between a long time ago, now you return at the behest of Queen Marika the Eternal after the tragedy that is the shattering of the Erdtree, when brothers fought against brothers and the land is forever changed, the only way for peace to come back now is if you reform the Elden Ring, conquer the Land Between, and become Elden Lord.   Elden Ring is set on a vast open-world filled with fantastical landscapes, grassy plains, suffocating swamps, mountains, castles, and dungeons that connect with the main world seamlessly traverse the world on foot or on horseback alone or online with other players. As you travel through the Land Between you will feel glimpses of the Elden Rings power unravel its mysteries, encounter adversaries that want the ring for their own gain, characters that might help or hinder your progress, and fearsome creatures that you have never seen before. Create your own Character, with From Software’s signature action RPG mechanics in mind but now with more leeway for experimentation, use a variety of weapons, magical abilities, and skills found throughout the world. Use stealth to take out enemies one by one or come in guns blazing and call upon the spirits of your allies to come and aid you. It’s up to you how you want to approach exploration and combat. Reviews Elden Ring is a walking example of a 10 out of 10 game that isn’t perfect. No game can be perfect but there is just so much in here to love that it becomes hard to pay attention to its mistakes. Every handful of hours had the game open up more and, every time, I was desperate to keep searching, exploring, conquering. Now, over 100 hours later and two playthroughs, all I want is to discover more of what Elden Ring has in store for me. This isn’t just one of the best From Software titles but one of the best games I’ve ever played and I would be shocked if this didn’t have reverberations on the entire games industry. GameWatcher     From Software upped the ante, surpassing even their best efforts that we saw with Sekiro Shadows Die Twice in terms of world building.
