Barotrauma is a 2D, survival horror, co-op game where you take command of a manned submarine on a mission to the depths of Jupiter’s moon Europa. Explore the punishing and dangerous environments of Europa from lava spitting holes to the labyrinthine cave systems all over the ocean, the only thing as dangerous as the environment itself is the life that’s thriving in it, under the surface of the ice world all kinds of creatures thrive getting its heat from the planets molten core from giant creatures like the End worm that devours entire submarines to the colony of small algae that invade your submarine through the ballast tank.   Barotrauma is best enjoyed with multiple people 2-16 players can join in a game if you don’t have enough friends, you can add bots when needed. Single-player modes are still in development. Each crew member can select up to 6 playable classes each of them has unique skills and jobs on the ship, in no particular order Engineer, Captain, Mechanic, Assistant, Medic, and security officer. The world of barotrauma is procedurally generated from the maps you’re going to explore and the missions you’re going to do, but not all of you share the same goals some crew on board are assigned as traitors they have their own specific agendas usually ending in someone or everyone’s death. Create your own submarine, creatures, and animations in the game’s built-in editor, the game is also fully integrated into the steam workshop and the game’s source code is open to everyone making mods for Barotrauma has never been easier.
