Yakuza Kiwami is a story-rich action-adventure role-playing game about the seedy underbelly of Japan and the organization that runs it developed by SEGA. Step into the shoes of Kazuma Kiryu an up-and-coming lieutenant advisor for the Tojo Clan’s Dojima Family, you are only one step closer to having your own sub-family in this prestigious group. But the unthinkable happens Sohei Dojima the patriarch of the Dojima family kidnaps Kiryu’s childhood friend Yumi, in an effort to save her your sworn brother Akira Nishikiyama, rushes after them. As you arrive on the scene you see Nishikiyama holding the smoking gun over Dojima’s dead body and Yumi in shock from the trauma. In order to save your brother, you make a decision that will change your life forever, picking up the gun and sending Nishikiyama out of the room to look after Yumi. Ten years later you come out of prison to a world you no longer recognize.   Kiwami is a remake of the critically acclaimed first entry of the yakuza series back on 2006 on the PlayStation 2, now completely rebuilt from the ground up for modern systems with enhanced graphics, expanded story, and rerecorded audio presented in the original Japanese for the very first time. Inspired by the success of “Yakuza 0” the three battle styles makes their return Brawler (the style of balance), Rush (the style of speed), Beast (the style of power), and the Dragon of Dojima’s own unique Dragon style. There will be more nightlife spots for you to discover like the hostesses of Kamurocho, and tons of gambling mini-games like roulette, blackjack, poker, mahjong, etc. but if you’re looking for more harmless fun you can also play mini-games like karaoke, photo booths, darts, billiards, shogi, etc. You will also be able to find substories for you to solve like stopping gangbusters, helping the man on the ledge, the assassin’s truth, and many more. Reviews This game is a blast! Some of the tasks can get repetitive and feel unnecessary but all the frustration melts away when you start beating people with a traffic cone.
